I checked out a good bit of stuff at BlizzCon three years ago when I went, but my main focus was getting pictures of other costumes and posing for people’s pictures. It’s pushed the horns out of place very slightly, but thankfully not enough to ruin the design. Each horn on the design is unique (excepting symmetry). I’m going to lay them out on the design and match up the horns to the slots that are closest to their current shape. It might turn out to be the most incredible idea I’ve ever had. My idea being that I take all my various horns and cover them in a coat or two of plaster to give them a solid surface for me to work on. I covered my work table with wax paper to protect the surface while I added them with a pair of flat noses jewelry pliers and Gemtac. And I had the luck to lay it out to dry on top of the paper design, so the glue only ended up sticking to the paper instead of seeping out all over the foam (I’m using the remainder of the pink foam as a makeshift work surface since there’s so much of it).
Let it dry. The glue doesn’t care if the convention is next month, next week or tomorrow. I tried holding them in place weakly, propping up items against them, but you -need- to keep items -clamped- if you’re going to use Gorilla Glue. The judging process is quite secretive, and what they use to pick the finalists seems to be hidden. This process requires some time to complete very effectively. I’ve also sanded the cones a little more so that they have more of a point. A lot of the time you can find stability with a person that is more mature.
